Hi, I'm Jessica!
The heart behind For The Love of Dogs
My love for dogs started long before I ever dreamed of running a boarding business. Dogs have always been part of my life, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than caring for them and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.
I started For The Love of Dogs to create a place in Nanaimo where dogs can stay in a comfortable home environment, get plenty of one-on-one attention, and enjoy their vacation while you enjoy yours.
Our home is your dog's home away from home.
Located in beautiful Nanaimo BC, our home is set up with dogs in mind. Only minutes from the Nanaimo Airport and Duke Point ferry terminal, we have created a safe, clean, and comfortable space with a fully fenced yard for playtime, cozy spots for downtime, and a calm environment where dogs can truly relax.

More than a place to stay.
For the Love of Dogs is exactly that: our home, our family, and a whole lot of dogs. Together with my son, Caden, we make sure that visiting dogs get the kind of attention and company that comes with being welcomed into a real household.
Outside, dogs have half an acre of fully fenced space to run, play, explore, or find a shady spot to relax. Inside, they’re part of the family too, with the freedom to settle in, get comfortable, and make themselves at home.
There are no rows of kennels or one-size-fits-all routines here. Just a safe, relaxed home environment with people who genuinely enjoy having dogs around.
